Joshua Tripp
Finance Officer

Before joining Grameen Foundation, Joshua spent seven years as a consultant to innovative nonprofit organizations, helping them to assess, plan, and launch for-profit business ventures to increase their sustainability. He also spent time as a Project Manager for GS Telecom, a start-up satellite telecommunications company in Ghana. Prior to GS Telecom, Joshua worked in the investment banking division of Alex. Brown (now Deutsche Bank), where he worked on financial modeling of public equity financings, private placements, merger and acquisition transactions, and advisory assignments in the technology industry. Joshua graduated magna cum laude with highest honors from Williams College with a BA in Economics. He serves as a board member for LAYC Creative Enterprises, Inc.

M. Ria Shah
Finance Officer

Ria brings over eight years of accounting and finance expertise to Grameen Foundation. As Finance Officer, Ria will manage the budgeting process, the Standby Letter of Credit program and other financial reporting and analysis. Prior to joining Grameen Foundation, Ria lived in England for four years where she instructed advanced accounting and finance courses for an MBA program. She also worked for four years at Arthur Andersen providing financial and business consulting and auditing services to companies in a variety of industries. As part of her duties, she provided guidance regarding federal regulatory compliance, risk assessment, business process reengineering and accounting and reporting of financial transactions. Prior to consulting, Ria worked as a financial analyst within the energy and telecommunications industries.  She holds an MS in Accountancy from Trinity University and a BS in Accounting and Finance.  Ria has traveled around the world extensively and is versed in Hindi, Gujarati and Spanish.  She also serves as a board member for Asian American LEAD.
