Capital Markets Advisory Committee

Robert Eichfeld, Chair

During a 33-year career with Citigroup, Mr. Eichfeld managed many of Citibank's country and regional activities in postings throughout the Caribbean, Brazil, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. While abroad, he also served on the boards of several business and community affairs organizations including chairing various school boards. Since 2000, he has continued to use the unique business and cultural awareness skills that arise from having lived in or traveled to over 100 countries. He has advised a de-novo venture capital fund in Dubai, and with other investors, helped to set up a new Islamic bank in Bahrain. He advised Harvard Business School when it established its executive training program for the Middle East and he is currently a member of the Global Advisory Council at his alma mater, the Garvin School of International Management at Thunderbird. He also remains active in Rotary, particularly with Rotary’s international microfinance and other social development programs and is a member of the International Executive Services Corps and the Financial Services Volunteer Corps. . Bob’s other interests include international current affairs, tennis, hiking, rafting, extensive travel.

Roz Hongsarangon, Member

Roz Hongsaranagon is a member of the Grameen Foundation Capital Markets Committee and an ex-officio member of Grameen Foundation Advisory Council.

As a full-time professional volunteer at Grameen Foundation in the Summer of 2004, she assisted in the initiation of the Grameen Foundation Capital Markets Department. Roz is a participant of The Associate Program (TAP) at the Capital Group Companies and currently is working as an equity research analyst based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Capital, Roz also worked at JP Morgan Chase and System Planning Corporation. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University, where she studied International Relations and Economics.

Rosanna Ramos-Velita, Member

Rosanna Ramos-Velita brings to our group a broad range of skills in strategic consulting, entrepreneurship, investment banking and technology development, as well as extensive experience in international markets. Her professional background spans several industries such as microelectronics, telecommunications and international finance. She is the CFO, Marketing and Advertising for the Global Consumer Group at Citigroup. Rosanna started her career as a Design Engineer for AT&T Microelectronics; she then became Director of Latin America Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance at UBS Warburg, and most recently started her own consulting firm which focuses on bringing financial products to the U.S. Hispanic population.

Rosanna holds an MBA from the Wharton School, an MA in International Business from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota. She is fluent in French and is a native Spanish speaker.

James L. Greenberg, Member

Jim Greenberg brings to Grameen Foundation a passion for microfinance, defeating poverty on a massive scale and a focus on India. He currently serves on Grameen Foundation's India Advisory Council and is slated to be Grameen Foundation's nominee for Director of Grameen Capital India. Not only has Grameen Foundation benefited from Jim's valuable knowledge, seasoned insight and strategic direction, but he and his wife helped to launch the India Initiative.

Jim has a rich executive and management background in international business. In 1995 he became the founding partner of DevCorp International E.C., a company based venture development and investment company with active projects spanning shrimp farming, petrochemicals, light manufacturing, and telecomm/IT. Jim is currently Chairman and CEO of the company.

Janet Thompson, Member 

Janet Thompson has been with Citibank for 25 years, serving in a variety of roles relating to the company's engagement with community building, including grant making, community relations, community development programming. She currently serves as the Corporate Community Reinvestment Director. In addition to her professional work, Ms. Thompson has served on a number of boards of organizations that focus on improving access to financial services, including the Nonprofit Finance Fund, Accion New York, Corporation for Enterprise Development, and the Community Service Society. Ms. Thompson is a graduate of Radcliffe College/Harvard University and the Columbia University School of Business.

Jennifer Drogula, Member

Jennifer Drogula is a partner with the international law firm Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering. Her practice consists of advising U.S. and international clients in transnational business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital and private equity, and debt financings. Ms. Drogula has participated in acquisitions and financing transactions in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States and has represented private equity funds in direct investments in Latin America and Africa. Ms. Drogula received her B.A. from the University of Texas and her J.D. and LL.M. from Duke University School of Law. She is admitted to the District of Columbia and New York bars

Bridget Liddell, Member

Bridget Liddell is based in Seattle, Washington, and is the Chair of the US Beachhead Program, part of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, which offers mentoring and consulting support to NZ businesses seeking access to the US market. She is also Chair of the US Friends of the University of Auckland, a Director of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund and a Director of BioVittoria Ltd.

She is a member of the Investment Committee of the Seattle YMCA and of the Investment Committee of Grameen USA. She is the Principal of Antipodean Equity which facilitates access to US financing and partnership networks for New Zealand and Australian companies.

Bridget was a director of New Zealand public companies, Sky City Ltd. and Fisher & Paykel Appliances Holdings Ltd. Her other past governance roles include Industry New Zealand, Competitive Auckland Ltd. and Auckland Uniservices Ltd. She has also held a variety of management positions including CEO of Carter Holt Harvey Plastic Products.

Prior to her departure from New Zealand in 2003, Bridget headed the organization driving business development at the University of Auckland and was a former member of the University of Auckland Council. Bridget holds post graduate degrees in English and Economics and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification (CFA). She was a Harkness Fellow in 1998.

Camilla Nestor, Staff Liaison

Camilla Nestor joined Grameen Foundation in August 2005 bringing over 10 years of experience in microfinance and commercial banking. She spent five years working with microfinance institutions while based in Southeast Asia and the Balkans. Before joining Grameen, she was an associate in Citigroup’s Structured Corporate Finance Department where she executed credit-enhanced debt financings for emerging markets firms in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She has also worked for Catholic Relief Services, overseeing the start-up, growth and management of MFIs. Camilla holds an MBA and a masters degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Colorado College. She speaks Bahasa Indonesia and is conversant in French.
